I reinstalled the game 3 times now, once even through the CDs, I updated DirectX 11 to it's June Update Pack, I've gone through hoops to figure this out and I'm just at a loss, I'm currently running a single GTX 460, the game worked fine on my SLI'd 9800 GTX's so I don't know anymore. 3 Support & Older GPUs Pre-Fermi (DirectX 10 era) GPUs support OpenGL 3. I then found out something about turning on and off Direct 3D Accelertaion so I followed the steps going through Dxdiag and such and that didn't work. So I was like, I have directX 11 and I thought well, I haven't checked my drivers in a while, I updated them and I got the same message.
DirectX may be found on your Warcraft III install CD under options.' i just built my new computer and i am having a problem playing a game, warcraft III, when i click on play warcraft it starts its load up but then stops and i get this msg, 'warcraft III was unable. Please ensure you have DirectX 8.1 or newer installed and that your display drivers are current. I first just installed it off because I thought that would be the most up to date version, so I get finished with Downloading and Installing the game and I get the error 'Warcraft III was unable to initialize DirectX.
Soooo, I wanted to get some of the itching I've been having to play Warcraft 3 and I installed it.
